Our story
A community,
not a database.
Oskar Morad came to Melbourne from Cali, Colombia with US$800 to his name — and an eye that wouldn't look away. Everywhere he looked, capable people were working hard for less than they were worth.
Fifty dollars of flyers started a service built on one promise: pay people properly, give businesses absolute reliability, and run it hands-on — never from a desk.
The turning point came when a client's factory worker called in sick. Oskar sent a replacement who worked so well they kept him on — the first Calima placement. That same standard now anchors hundreds of placements across six cities.
“When a client calls with an urgent shift, we reach workers in minutes — not hours. That's not a database. That's a community.”
